Competition to reorganize the village of Orsières’ public spaces

The project reinforces the intermediate aspect of the site and interprets it as a landscaped walkway between the village and the Dranse. The suggested intervention of the Meunière Square is based on specific soil treatment and planting of fruit trees along the garden’s perimeter. It aims to protect and complete the existing planting and give added value to the riverside by creating an extensive, grassy slope and a walkway that focuses on local materials and species, offering private gardens to the houses of the village. This square could also accommodate a playground situated underneath the road to the train station that woud be more appropriate and protected than the current one.
